Blackdown National Park is a land of discovery. As I entered the valley the heady, sweet scent of flowering wattle filled the air. An explosion of golden yellow balls greeted me on either side of the walking track and filled me with awe and wonder for such sun kissed proliferation.
The Ithaka poem talks about the joy and pleasure of new discovery and of sensual perfume. This golden valley certainly was all of that to me.
