Penelope's image is that of the good wife, who stays at home looking after Odysseus' interests, while he has a lot of adventures.

But this image of Penelope was written by men, who through legends showed us and educated us in the duties of the good wife.

Maybe Penelope wanted to go out and live adventures. Maybe she wanted to do it with her partner. Maybe she wanted to do it with her friends. Maybe she wanted to do it alone. Maybe she had fears, but she was smart and clever and would have overcome them. Maybe she wanted to find her own Ithaca.

That's why my Penelope writes her own story, no one writes it for her and tells her what to do. My Penelope charts her own path
