Learning the rhythm of the sea takes time. The vastness is overwhelming at first. Observation is rewarded with colour changes and shifts in the seascape. Each day brings a little more knowledge and understanding of the rhythm of the sea.

Materials: commercial cotton and artist’s dyed cotton fabric, batting, threads

Techniques: hand dyed, machine pieced and quilted
