SHADOW LAND

The Lost City in Litchfield National Park is made up of silent, mysterious, towering rock structures reminiscent of city buildings. Mother Nature has had a hand in construction here.

Depending on the time of the day, dappled sunlight plays in and out of the rocky hollows and crevices. It is easy to get lost in this shadow land inhabited by monsters of our imagination. Perhaps as in the Ithaka poem, Cyclops lurks here.

Materials: whole cloth cotton, wax, batik dye, textile ink, batting, thread
